Pat Beasley Kidd, 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Seth Ward Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Ritter officiating and Rev. Doug Kello assisting. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Friday afternoon from 4 to 6 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Pat was born at home on March 25, 1940 in Red Springs, Texas to William and Mozelle Beasley. She was raised in Plainview and graduated Plainview High School in 1958. She served as the Pianist at Seth Ward Baptist Church while she was growing up. Her first job was at Spud Nuts in Plainview. She moved to Amarillo and was a legal secretary for several years. She then served as the secretary to the district attorney for Hale County for several years before moving to Lubbock. She worked for Bob Huff & Associates and then Furr’s Inc. for 18 years and retired in 2005. Pat was a member of the Southpark Baptist Church in Lubbock. She was a mother, sister, Aunt and Nana and will be greatly missed by all. Pat is survived by her two daughters: Tonya Harris of Lubbock and April Kidd of Plainview; two brothers: Billy Beasley of Plainview, Texas and Stan Beasley and his wife Cecilia of Plainview, Texas; two sisters: Janie Ritter and husband Jim of Tye, Texas and Evelyn Carroll and her husband Michael of Plainview, Texas; two grandchildren: Harli Harris and Hayden Johnson both of Lubbock, Texas; 10 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William Homer and Mozelle Beasley. Memorials may be made to the Seth Ward Baptist Church, 601 E. 24th Street, Plainview, Texas 79072.
