Sybil Gay (Plainview)

Sybil Evelyn Gay, 93, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2014. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Plainview Cemetery with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Sybil was born on January 18, 1921 in Mangum, Oklahoma to James and Lela Pruitt. She married Lloyd Frederick Gay on February 7, 1946 in Georgia. She was a homemaker and military wife and lived in many different places. Sybil is survived by her brother: Don Pruitt of Plainview, Texas; seven nieces and nephews: Wynell Turner of Ocala, Florida, Jim Majors of Borger, Texas, Linda Minyard of Savoy, Texas, Steve Pruitt of Sandy, Utah, Cheryl Ann Durling of Mustang, Oklahoma, Ronnie Dale Pruitt of Garden City, Kansas and Lisa Kuntz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and many more grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd F. Gay; her daughter Donna Gay Gilman; her parents James and Lela Pruitt; her two brothers Buran Pruitt and Edwin Pruitt; her sister Zelda Majors.
