Tulia, Texas—Helen Johnson, 88, died Sunday, September 7, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Helen was born January 23, 1920 in Henrietta, Texas. She grew up there and attended schools there. She moved to Haskell and later moved to Tulia. She married Arthur Lee ‘Tot’ Johnson on January 9, 1940 in Haskell. He died May 20, 1986 in Tulia. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. Survivors include one daughter; Cheryl Brand of Lubbock, one son and daughter-in-law; Jeff and Sherry Johnson of Pampa, one sister Grace Stoddard, four grandchildren; Robin Garner and husband Clay of Keller, Scott Brand of Corpus Christi, Keith Brand of Lubbock and Kyle Johnson of Weatherford, two great grandsons; Hunter Roberts Brand of Ft. Worth and Daxton Zane Brand of Lubbock. She is preceded in death by her husband, one son-in-law; Gaylen Brand and one great grandson; Jackson Grey Garner, two brothers and three sisters.
