Patricia Parsons Kisner(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas- Patricia Parsons Kisner, 72, of Lubbock passed away on September 10, 2008 at University Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 15, 2008 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia, Texas. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Father Vince Parsons (nephew) of St. Mary?s Cathedral, Grand Island, Nebraska, will officiate. Ms. Kisner was born on October 5, 1935 in Muleshoe, Texas. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1954. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked for Swisher Memorial Hospital for many years. She retired from nursing in 1998. She has lived in Lubbock for the last few years. Survivors include three daughters, Jan Wimberly of Bloomington, IL;Donna Billingsley and husband Larry of Loop, TX,;Christy Kirkland and husband Bryan of Lubbock, TX.; one son, Steven Kisner and wife Brenda of Cartwright, OK, ; brother, Alan and wife Beverly of Odessa, TX.; and sister, Leala Newsom and husband Jack of DeSoto, TX. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Kisner was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Beula Parsons, brother Edmond Parsons and wife Meg: nephew Mark Parsons and grandson, Stephen Billingsley. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Lubbock chapter of MADD.
