Doris E. Lindeman, 74, of Plainview passed away on September 14, 2008 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Joseph Johnson of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Doris was born on October 12, 1933 in Floydada to W.A. and Zelma Amburn. She spent her childhood in Floydada and attended schools there. Her family moved to Plainview when she was a teenager. She married Jimmie Lindeman on July 13, 1953 in Plainview. She worked several jobs outside the home, but her main job was to her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and just spending time with family. She also enjoyed traveling and camping. Survivors include her husband Jimmie Lindeman of Plainview; two daughters, Elaine Lindeman of Lockney, Polly Horne and husband Mark of Plainview; one son, Jimmie A. Lindeman, Jr. and wife Pauletta of Pueblo West, Colorado; ten granddaughters, Lisa Garcia, Becky Guerrero, Rachel Prutzman, Lacy Phillips, Haley Buske, Lori Lindeman, Katy Austin, Traci Jones, Jamie Austin, Lynzy Lindeman; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Kenneth Amburn. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
