William "Bill" Dollar (Plainview)

Bill Dollar, 61, formerly of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Ransom Canyon. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel with Mr. T.J. Terrell officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Bill was born on November 15, 1952 to Clyde “Red” and Mary Elizabeth Dollar in Clinton, Arkansas. He graduated from Plainview High in 1971. He spent many years working for the Keeblers Company and later he was able to pursue his dream in farming the family land in Hale County. Bill loved to travel, go camping with his family, and enjoyed fishing and playing cards with friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Dustin Dollar. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Mitchell of Ransom Canyon; one son, Shane Dollar & wife Brandy of Plainview, TX; three siblings, Annice Duvall of Rio Hondo, TX, Forrest Dollar of Bandera, TX, and Kenny Dollar of Waco, TX; seven grandchildren, Chase, Rowdy, Gunner and Jentre Dollar, Taylor Brooks, Thomas and Zaezel Mitchell. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
