Jimmie Raymer (Plainview)

Jimmie Raymer, 78, of Plainview, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Jimmie was born on August 4, 1936 to Joe & Viola Raymer in Guymon, Oklahoma. He married Betty Raymer on August 7, 1954 in Clovis. She preceded him in death. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing slots. He loved spending time remodeling his rental properties. Jimmie attended Dare to Believe Outreach Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sons, Bobby & Randy Raymer, one sister, Betty Mutton; and three brothers, Bob, Joe and Melvin Raymer. Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Twyla Atwood and husband Robert of Carlsbad, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Dana Micklos and husband Jim of Flagstaff, Arizona; Chris Atwood and wife Jolie of Carlsbad; Justin Raymer of Carlsbad; Ashley Shelburne and husband Johnny of Tulia, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Sissy Atwood and Brooklyn and Cutter Shelburne; two sisters, Mary Overbay of Lubbock, TX and Wanda Raymer of Plainview, TX. Memorials may be sent to Area Community Hospice.
