Tulia, Texas—Argel Stark, 81, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Tulia with his grandson Kevin Burrow officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Argel was born on May 20, 1933 in the Whitfield Community in Swisher County to Barney and Grace Stark. He was a retired farmer in the Claytonville Community where he lived all his life, except for the time he served in the US Army where he served as an Army Medic. He married Virginia White on July 5, 1955 in Tulia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tulia and the VFW Post in Tulia. He loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren as they participated in many events and activities. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Ginger Darlene Stark, four brothers: Frank Stark, L.D. Stark, Edwin Stark and Bobby Stark, two sisters: Bernice Stark and Louise Rowell and one great grandson: Brecken Stark. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Virginia Stark, one daughter: Zane Burrow and husband Scott of Tulia, two sons: Steve Stark and wife Mandy of Pampa and Chris Stark and wife Vicki of Kress, one sister: Dathene Vineyard of Lubbock, nine grandchildren: Josh Stark and wife Brittany of Pampa, Chris Burrow and wife Jenny of Sachse, Brent Burrow of Gruver, Blake Burrow of Carrollton, Justin Stark of Plainview, Matthew Stark of Pampa, Kevin Burrow and wife Ashley of Pullman, Washington, Sammi Jo McLain and husband Shane of Hart and Jessi Stark of Kress, six great grandchildren: Lily and Ella Burrow, Tripp and Blake Stark, Doc and Gracie McLain.
