Vigo Park, Texas--Mary Billie (Knox) Moore died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Canyon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the Vigo Park Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Pittman, Co-pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Wayside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mary Billie was born the 11th of 13 children in Eldorado, OK, on February 11, 1920. Mostly she grew up at Wayside, TX. She married Roland Moore on April 23, 1938, and then graduated from Plainview High School in May. Mary Billie & Roland farmed and ranched at Vigo Park. They also pastored at the Vigo Park Methodist Church and much of that time as the Methodist half of the ministry team at the Wayside Community Church. Mary Billie was active in the Vigo & Wayside communities. She and Roland were married for 59 years when he died in 1997. Mary Billie lived with her sons and their wives for three years prior to making her home at Sky West in Canyon in February of 2014. Together, Mary Billie and Roland raised three sons: Gary, Delton, and Lee. Gary & Ann and Lee & Lee both live near Vigo Park. Delton & Mary live near Canyon. Her family also includes 9 grandchildren (1 deceased) and 11 great-grandchildren who know her as Grandmother and GG. Mary Billie was a loving and caring woman with a deep love for the Lord. MEMORIALS: Please give to the church/charity/organization that speaks to your heart. You may consider Sky West Assisted Living Center in Canyon, Alzheimer's Association, Meals On Wheels, etc. MOSTLY, Mary Billie would want you to just love it forward by doing random acts of love and kindness
