Dodie McCoy (Plainview)

Dodie McCoy, 87, of Hale Center passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Plainview. Graveside Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Hale Center Cemetery with Dr. Carrol Green officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 P.M. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the funeral home. Dodie was born on May 27, 1927 in Hale Center, Texas to J.M. and Mattie Rawls. She graduated from high school in Lubbock. She married Wayne McCoy on March 21, 1948. Dodie was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She worked along the side of Wayne helping with the daily farm operations. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hale Center and a member of W.I.F.E. (Women Involved in Farm Economics). She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne on March 7, 2012. Dodie is survived by one brother, Bobby Rawls of Lubbock; one sister, Mozelle Austin of Houston; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
