Mary Lou Garcia (Tulia)

Mary Lou Garcia, 58, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 in Amarillo. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2006 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2006 in the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Scott Reaf and Father Tony Neusch officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. She was born December 16, 1947 in Penitas, Texas. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1966. She attended West Texas State College for one year. She married Domingo V. Garcia, Sr. on October 24, 1970 in Tulia. She worked for Mid-Plains Rural Telephone for 19 years as a Bi-Lingual customer service representative. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She is survived by her husband; Domingo V. Garcia, Sr. of Tulia, Texas, three sons; Domingo Garcia, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas, David Garcia of Houston, Texas and Luis Garcia of Houston, Texas, her parents; Alfredo and Mary Lou Chapa of Tulia, Texas, one brother; Alfredo Chapa, Jr. of Tulia, Texas, two sisters; Emma Hernandez of Tulia, Texas and Irene Mireles of Tulia, Texas, two grandsons; Noah and Jason Garcia of Kennedy, Texas, six nieces and nephews; Jennifer Resendez of Canyon, Texas, Stephanie Barrientez of Tulia, Texas, Eli Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas, Ruben Mireles, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas, Richard Mireles of Canyon, Texas and Tanya Mireles of Amarillo, Texas.
