Louis Edward Berg (Tulia)

Louis E. Berg, 84, died Thursday, January 5, 2006, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2006, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rob Lindley officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, Texas under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Berg was born in Rhome, Texas on November 13, 1921. He grew up in Wellington, Texas and graduated from high school there. He moved to Tulia in the 1960’s where he worked at Tulia Auto before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed working on cars and especially restoring Chevy Impalas. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the V.F.W. and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wellington. Survivors include his daughter, Kandi Ulrich of Happy, Texas; brother, James Harmon Berg of Amarillo; two grandhildren, Ryan and Mallory Ulrich of Happy and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Sis Berg; a daughter, Kathy Luanne Berg; sister, Ida Mae Molton; and brother, Robert Joe Berg. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
