Mary Lou Allen (Plainview

Mary Lou Allen, 83, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Olton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Garland Walker officiating and Rev. Jason Smith assisting. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Mary Lou was born on May 4, 1931 to Clyde & Mary Beckham in Hopkins County, TX. She graduated from Plainview High School. She married Robert Henry Allen, Jr. on January 5, 1949. He preceded her in death. She helped on the family farm. She enjoyed playing piano and would play when needed at church and Sandhills Village. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Parsley of Lubbock, TX; two sons, Mike Allen & wife Pat of Plainview, TX, and Dwayne Allen & wife Sara of Sulphur Springs, TX; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Memorial may be made to Running Water Draw Care Center & Sandhills Village, 800 W. 13th Street, Olton, TX 79064.
