Harlan Wallingsford, 80, of Plainview, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2006 at Plainview Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006 at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Martin, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Wallingsford was born on January 10, 1926 in Valley Mills, Texas to J. B. and Alice Sisk Wallingsford. At the age of sixteen he went to work for Plainview Plumbing. He then served in the Army during WW II in the infantry. After the war he married Laverne Nell Howard August 18, 1949 in Plainview and went back to work for Plainview Plumbing until 1988. He then worked as a self employed plumber, until he retired in 1992. He was a Master Plumber by trade and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Laverne Wallingsford of Plainview, two daughters Sharon Mull and husband Buddy of Plainview, Jackie Howard and husband Lonnie of Abernathy; one son Randy Wallingsford and wife Becky of Slaton; one brother Jerome Wallingsford of Matador; brother-in-law & sister-in-law Jack and Juanita Robertson of Lubbock; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
