Gregoria "Golla" Favila (Plainview)

Gregoria “Golla” Favila, 79, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at First Assembly of God with David Tijerina, pastor of New Vision Church officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Golla was born on March 12, 1935 in Mexico. She grew up in Mexico and attended schools there. She married Espiridion “Speedy” Favila on July 4, 1953 in McAllen, Texas. They lived in Plainview where she was a homemaker, a great mother, and a fantastic grandmother. She was always willing to help someone if they needed it no matter if it was family or friends or even a stranger. She was a member of the New Vision Church in Plainview. Survivors include her husband Speedy Favila of Plainview; two sons, Rocky Favila and wife Irene of Hereford, LeRoy Favila and wife Leticia of Plainview; two daughters, Saydie Favila and Brittney Favila of Plainview; one sister, Anita Castilla of McAllen; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
