Audrey Rusher(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Audrey O’Daniel Rusher, 97, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Hereford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 24, 2014 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Audrey was born February 24, 1917 in Castro Co. to Walter and Stella Mills. She attended schools at the Wise School in Castro Co. until the 6th grade. She then attended schools at Tulia where she graduated high school. She married Howard O’Daniel on November 2, 1934 is Swisher Co. She lived in Tulia and was an artist and a beautician for several years. She married Kenneth Rusher in 1972. They lived in Hereford for several years. She moved back to Tulia about eight years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. She is preceded in death by her two husbands: Howard O’Daniel died November 17, 1960 and Kenneth Rusher died in 1995. Her family includes one daughter: Wilma Sawatzky of Santa Fe, NM, two sons: Doug O’Daniel of Tulia and Mark O’Daniel of Lubbock, Kenneth’s children: Laurel Horton and husband Bob of Limon, Colorado, Jeannie Torgler and husband Shannon of Ordway, Colorado, Kathy Johnson and husband Bill of Amarillo, Gail Hall and husband Terry of Happy, Kenny Rusher and wife Jennine of Ordway, Colorado and Rusty Rusher and wife Brenda of Torington, Wyoming, 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
