Marvin Huffine, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 in McKinney. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating and Mr. Lanny Voss assisting. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Marvin was born on September 1, 1919 in Cement, OK to Phillip & Lilly Huffine. He graduated from Olton High School and later joined the U.S. Army. He married Betty Slattery on December 26, 1950 in Plainview. She preceded him in death. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Marvin accomplished what many men do not, he lived a life of full honesty, responsibility, and integrity. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents; two brothers and five sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Lori McWilliams & husband Bruce of Allen, TX; two sons, Ricky Huffine of Plainview, TX and Danny Huffine & wife Rachel of Tuscola, TX; two brothers, Carol Huffine of Borger, TX and Tommy Huffine of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Edith Frederick of Houston, TX; and six grandchildren, Dane, Joseph, and Anna Grace McWilliams, Brink, Jesse & Roxy Huffine.
