Claudine Francis Peery (Tulia)

Claudine Francis Peery, 89, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Tell Cemetery in Tell, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Claudine was born January 28, 1925 in Tell, Texas to Claude Lee & Birdie V. Crain. She graduated from Tell High School and married John Hersel Peery on April 3, 1943. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2007. She worked as a bookkeeper for Peery & Dugan Oil Company for 35 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one son: John Paul “Smokey” Peery. Mrs. Peery is survived by one son: Roy L. “Pete” Peery of Bowie; two daughters: Jon Etta Ziegler of Silverton and Mary Sinia McMurtry of Amarillo; one brother: Bob Crain of Amarillo; one sister: Sandy Aultman of Desoto; six grandchildren: Kyle Ratcliff, Rhenda Leigh Peery, Trey Cole Ziegler, Townlii Hayden Gonzales, Lexi Francis McMurtry and Lily Ireland McMurtry and four great grandchildren: Cameron Ratcliff, Ashley Ratcliff Aaron Ratcliff and Traegan Jo Ziegler.
