Barbara Ann Hale, 75, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at First Christian Church with Dr. Max Browning, Rev. Don Robertson and Dr. T. Coe Branch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Hale was born on May 24, 1933 in Preston, Oklahoma to Clyde and Daisy Boss. She graduated from Okmulgee High School and from Oklahoma State where she received a degree in accounting. She married James A. Hale on August 11, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas. They moved to Plainview in 1963. She worked at American Grain, Wilson Brothers and Emco before retiring in 1986. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother and friend who will dearly be missed. She is survived by her husband James A. Hale; two sons: Jim Hale and wife Laura of Omaha, Nebraska and Mark Hale and wife Kate of Plano; one daughter: Terri Higgins and husband Ross of Plainview; two brothers: David Boss and wife Judy of Monument, Colorado and Jimmy Lee Boss and wife Liz of Spokane, Washington; brother & sister-in-law: Adrian Hale and wife Carole of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Alex Hale, Alyssa Hale, Anna Suzette Hale, Lauren Hale, Melissa Higgins and Amy Higgins and one great grandchild: Isabella Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Juanita Allison, one brother: Clyde Boss, Jr. and a nephew: Pat Boss. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Boy Scouts or the American Cancer Society.
