Dana Jo Hughes Bontke (Plainview)

Dana Jo Hughes Bontke, 76, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Dana Jo Hughes Bontke at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael Heckman officiating. Dana was born May 17, 1938 in Afton, Texas to Thomas Bethel Hughes & Eula Mae Jones. She graduated from Spur High School in 1956 and then attended Lippert’s Business College. She married Carl J. Bontke on November 22, 1964 in Plainview. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl J. Bontke and a brother, Thomas B. Hughes, Jr. “Mike” Survivors include her children: Carla Moore & husband Ricky of Christoval, TX, Jana Kelley & husband Blake of Celina, TX and a son Justin Bontke of Dallas, TX; three wonderful grandchildren; Mikayla Moore, Madison Kelley and Morgan Kelley; three sisters: June Hale of Levelland, Bonnie Ayers of Lubbock and Susie Karrh of Lake Tanglewood; one brother: Bill Hughes of Sumner, TX and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Interim Hospice and Santa Fe House.
