Tulia, Texas—Evert Willard Fugate, Jr., 56, died Monday, December 1, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Henry Martin, pastor of Restoration Outreach in Hale Center officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Fugate was born August 30, 1958 in Amarillo to Mary Ellen and Evert Willard Fugate, Sr. He grew up in Oklahoma City. He joined the US Army in 1976 and was discharged in 1977. He worked for Attebury Grain, was a self employed contractor and for the last ten years he worked for Wyatt Galleries in Tulia. He is preceded in death by his parents. His family includes his wife: Brenda Marshall of Tulia, two sisters: Louella Ryan of Choctaw, OK and Goldie Walther of Mustang, OK, one step-daughter: Stephanie Marshall of Tulia, nieces and nephews: Shila Ryan, Greg Ryan, Delbert Ryan, Jazzie Ryan and Trent Ryan and two grandchildren: Hayden Williams and Tessa Williams.
