Francisca Sosa (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Francisca Sosa, 92, died on Monday, January 16, 2006 in Tulia. Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 in the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Tony Neusch pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Sosa was born on October 29, 1913 in Presidio, Texas. She attended schools there. She married David Sosa in Presido in 1935. They moved to Tulia in 1963. She worked for the Senior Citizens for 10 years and soon retired in 1997. She was a long time member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Samuel Sosa; a daughter, Eloisa Sosa; six brothers, Jose, Federico, Pedro, Massimo, Edwardo, and Benjamin Rubio; two sisters, Anita Rivera and Leonore Hernandez. She is survived by four daughters, Rosa Galan of McCamey, Texas, Luisa Rodriguez and Delia Chapa both of Tulia, Texas, Irene Martinez of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Lionel Sosa of Happy, Texas and David Sosa, Jr. of Tulia, Texas; a brother, Ernesto Rubio of Roswell, N.M.; Fifty Grandchildren, Ninety-Eight Great Grandchildren, and Twenty-Eight Great, Great Grandchildren.
