Tulia, Texas— Joel Wayne Gamble, 48, died Friday, October 31, 2008 in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Robert Thomas, a Baptist minister officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Gamble was born June 6, 1960 in Tulia. He graduated from Tulia High School. He graduated from TSTI with an associate’s degree in Architecture. He worked with J.N. Huber Corp. in Borger. He then worked for Diamond Shamrock Corp. now Valero in Dumas for several years until moving with the company to San Antonio in June 2007. He loved going to the lake with his family, riding motorcycles and three wheelers, he loved his children very much. Survivors include two sons: Alex Gamble of Kansas City, Missouri and Evan Gamble of Amarillo, two daughters; Lily Gamble and Jenna Gamble both of Amarillo, one sister; Brenda Dunn of Las Cruces, NM, his mother; Lena Higginbotham of Amarillo, his grandmother; Loretta Gamble of Silverton, several aunts and uncles, one niece and one nephew: Stephanie Dunn and Matthew Dunn, both of Las Cruces, NM and several cousins.
