Maxine L. Stokes (Plainview)

Maxine L. Stokes, 92, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2008, in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Services are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be from 4-5:30 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2008, at the funeral home. Mrs. Stokes was born November 4, 1916, in Lone Oak, Texas to William Patterson and Ida Lucinda Tucker White. She was a charter member and very active at Grace Presbyterian Church. She was also actively involved with hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Lee Stokes, a brother and a sister. She is survived by two daughters, Connie White of Plainview & Lea Perry of Plainview; two brothers, William T White of Littleton, CO & Johnny Dale White & wife Virginia of Denton; six grandchildren, Wayne Welch & wife Diane, Susan Price & husband Wesley, Rusty White, Ronnie White & wife LaQuita, Rodney White & wife Deanne & Royce White & wife Patty, fourteen great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
