Elva Flores(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Elva G. Flores, 63, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Fernando Rugo officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm Friday, November 14, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Flores was born February 17, 1945 in San Angelo. She lived there until the 2nd grade when she moved to Kress and attended schools there. She moved to Tulia after her marriage. She worked for the Panhandle Community Services for 17 years. She worked for the Tulia Health & Rehabilitation Center for several years before retiring 2 years ago. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit where she was a member of the Guadalupanas and the Cursillistas and the Lazareth Community. Survivors include one daughter; Nancy Musquiz of Amarillo, one son; Roy Flores of Tulia, one brother; Domingo Gonzales, Jr. of San Juan and one sister; Lorene Frausto of Tulia, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins and several great nieces and nephews.
