Nazareth, Texas—Bernice Hoelting, 71, died Friday, January 9, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2015 in the Tulia Christian Fellowship Church in Tulia with Rev. Rusty Gray, Pastor officiating. Cremation services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Bernice was born on May 12, 1943 in Canyon, Texas to Albert and Marie Venhaus. She grew up in Happy and graduated from Happy High School. She married Richard “Dickey” Hoelting on October 4, 1960. After their marriage they lived in Nazareth where Bernice was a stay at home mom and a caregiver to her children and husband. She was a member of the Nazareth Holy Family Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and the church choir. In 1989 she started attending Tulia Christian Fellowship Church in Tulia. Her husband passed away on December 28, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister: Norma Huseman and two brothers: Vincent Venhaus and Cecil Venhaus. She is survived by her children: Stanley Bo Hoelting of Nazareth, Becky Samford and husband Chris of Nazareth, Brenda Rodriguez and husband Alex of Flower Mound, Curtis Hoelting and wife Tracy of Amarillo, Brad Hoelting and wife Norma of Nazareth, Ryan Hoelting of Lubbock and Mindy Hoelting of Amarillo, two brothers and two sisters: Lloyd Venhaus of Amarillo, Irene Huseman of Nazareth, Clyde Venhaus of Canyon and Joyce Wethington of Dumas, seven grandchildren: Ross Chehayeb, Micah Rodriguez, Saundra Hoelting, Logan Samford, Madison Samford, Seth Hoelting and Makinzee Hoelting and one great granddaughter: Baby Girl Chehayeb.
