Tulia, Texas— Thomas B. Ledbetter, 83, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Stone, pastor and Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Thomas was born on March 20, 1931 in O’Donnell to Robert and Emma Clara Ledbetter. He grew up in O’Donnell and graduated high school there. He married Norma Jean Potter on February 16, 1959 in Littlefield. He attended North Texas University in Denton for two years. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a telegraph operator for 41 years. He worked in the Plains Division and the last 10 years he worked in Amarillo. He was a member of the Railroad Union and a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. He is survived by his wife: Norma Ledbetter of Tulia, one son: Breland Ledbetter of Dimmitt, two daughters; Cozette Ledbetter of Lubbock and Starla Kubena and husband Garry of Snyder and three grandsons: Kolby Kubena of Snyder, Kolton Kubena of Snyder and Brady Ledbetter of Abilene. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
