Carol E. Lovvorn, 77, of Amarillo passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Kornerstone Chapel with Kelly Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, February 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Mrs. Lovvorn was born on September 27, 1937 in Savannah, GA to Mildred and Eugene Miller. She grew up in Missouri. She married Weldon Jack Lovvorn on May 27, 1955 in Eldon, Missouri. She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. After losing Weldon she became a caretaker and took care of many people in Plainview. She loved being a mom, grandmother, and taking care of her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include a daughter, Christy Phillips and husband Randy of Sulphur Springs; a son, Randal Lovvorn and wife Sanja of Amarillo, TX; a brother Michael Irwin and wife Kathy of Eldon, MO; two sisters Linda Coffelt and husband Chris of Jefferson City, MO, Terry Petchell and husband Mike of Eldon, MO; ten grandchildren Joshua and wife Nikki Lovvorn, Amna Muratovic, Anel Muratovic, Allen Muratovic, Michael Gimeno, Scott Gimeno, Tim Gimeno, Christopher Phillips, Latasha and husband Kevin Oliver, Keven Phillips and fiancé Kayleigh and four great grandchildren Trenton Phillips, Jayston Lovvorn, Jaek Lovvorn and Kannyn Phillips.
