Richard Wayne Voyles (Plainview)

Richard Wayne Voyles, 69, of Plainview went to meet his heavenly father on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Seth Ward Baptist Church with Oscar Chavez, Manuel Rodriguez and David Voyles officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6-7:00 P.M. Friday evening, February 13, 2015 at the funeral home. He was born on September 13, 1945 in Plainview, Texas to Ernest and Nora Pearl Voyles. He married the love of his life, Georgia Ann Taylor, on December 11, 1963 in Plainview, TX. He loved raising animals and enjoyed judging rabbits and goats for the 4-H Club. He was blessed by visiting with his family and friends. It was a tradition for him to work with his grandfather, father and brothers hauling hay. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Voyles. Richard was blessed to have his wife, Georgia; four daughters, Marie Vinson, Nina Gonzales, Evelyn Voyles all of Plainview, Ricky Enger of Charlotte, NC; one son David Voyles of Oahu, HI; six brothers, David Voyles of Amarillo, TX, Jack Voyles of West VA, Jimmy Voyles and Tracy Voyles, both of Plainview, Mark Voyles of Arcadia, OK, Kenny Voyles of Portland, TX; one sister, Gloria Alston of Plainview, TX; 12 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
