Tulia, Texas—Rosa Lee McBride, 87, died Thursday, February 12, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Vigo Park Community Church with Lee Moore and Mark Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Vigo Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Rosa Lee was born on December 5, 1927 in Hereford to Harvey and Viola Nunn. She grew up in Hereford and attended Hereford schools. She married Parker McBride on August 21, 1943 in Clovis. They lived in various places due to Mr. McBride’s construction work. They moved to Swisher County in 1964. In 1981 she opened Mom’s Place Café in Vigo Park and operated it until about a month ago. She was a member of the Vigo Park Community Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons; Gary McBride, Dale McBride and Gale McBride, two brothers; Bill Nunn and Elmore Nunn and one grandson; Jason McBride. She is survived by three sons; Larry McBride of Paradise, Bart McBride and wife Karen of Tulia and Lamar McBride of Vigo Park, seven grandsons and two granddaughters, four great grandsons and three great granddaughters. Memorials may be made to the Vigo Park Vol. Fire Dept.
