Frisco, Texas-Peggy May Bowling, 92, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Frisco, Texas. A Visitation Service with the family will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road in Frisco, Texas from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, 1555 Country Road 13 in Tulia, Texas on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Tulia arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. She will be interned in a family plot by her Husband, Walter Lewis Bowling and her Parents, Benjamin May and Lacy Little May. Mrs. Bowling was born in Vigo Park, Texas on November 19, 1922. She graduated from Tulia High School and West Texas A & M with a B.S. in Education. She married Walter Lewis Bowling, from Bloomfield, Iowa in 1944 in Lafors, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Afterwards, he taught in Lubbock for 33 years; retiring in 1983. Peggy was also a Teacher who taught first grade in Dumas, Texas and Dupree Elementary, in Lubbock, Texas for 32 years. She retired in 1984. Mr. and Mrs. Bowling were members of Forrest Heights United Methodist Church in Lubbock and she resided in Lubbock until 2006. She then went to live with her Son in Frisco, Texas. She was predeceased by her Parents, Brother, Roy and Sister, Avaleigh May and her Husband, Walter Bowling, who passed away on December 20, 1990. Survivors include her Son, Gregory Lewis Bowling, his Wife, Cathleen Connor Bowling, her Granddaughter, Brooke Bowling White, her Husband, Don White and two Great Grandchildren, Garrett and Kaitlyn White. She also has cousins, Grace, Doug and Virginia Frazior and their spouses and children and many May, Little and Probasco relatives in Texas and Iowa. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Herbert and Dixie Bowling. Their children, her nieces and nephews, that remain are Betsy (Bowling), David, Matthew, Michael and Michelle Cooley and their spouses and children; Mery (Bowling), Bob, Rafe and Meredith Matthiews and their spouses and children; and Jennifer (Bowling) and Roger Spradlin; Melissa, Marley and MacKenzie Blakely and their spouses and children. In lieu of memorials, the family just asks that you donate to your local church in her honor.
