Charles Ralph Miller (Plainview)

Ralph Miller-Plainview, Texas Charles Ralph Miller, 82, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the First Christian Church with Dr. Max Browning officiating and Mrs. Phyllis McDougal (niece) assisting. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the funeral home. Ralph was born on June 24, 1932 in Plainview, Texas to Homer and Pernie Miller. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. Ralph was a farmer, Insurance Salesman for many years, and was a Real Estate Agent. He was a past recipient of the Pinnacle Award, Realtor of the Year, and other awards. He was a member of the Plainview Board of Realtors, Golden Gloves, Masonic Lodge, and First Christian Church where he served as a Deacon, and Elder. He also was a past board member for Christian Manor. Ralph had a deep love for Architecture and even a greater love for his family. Ralph married Xandra Blair on June 18, 1950 and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2006. He married Alice Doyle on June 14, 2011 in Plainview. Survivors include his wife, Alice Miller of Plainview; daughter, Diane Williams and husband Mike of Lubbock; daughter-in-law, Pam Miller of Plainview; sister, Pat Kerby of Sanger, Texas; four grandchildren, Charlotte Harwell, Ted Miller and wife Brandy, Katy Townley and husband Chad, Amy Williams; and four great grandchildren, Tanner Miller, Daine Miller, William Townley, and Alexandra Townley. Ralph was also preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Pernie Miller; son, Homer Dixon “Dicky” Miller; sister, Mary Evelyn Miller Guthrie; and brother, D.L. Miller.
