Minnie Margaret Morgan, 86, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at College Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors on Tuesday evening, February 17, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. Minnie was born on June 5, 1928 in Comanche, Oklahoma to John Daniel and Lizzie Ruthie Foster. She grew up in Comanche and graduated from High School there. She married Glenn Morgan on February 3, 1946 in Byers, Texas. They moved to Plainview in 1963. She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She later worked for CR Anthony for many years. She also served as Glenn’s caretaker during his illness. Minnie was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and a member of the Parlor Sunday School class. She was also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Plainview. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; parents; two brothers, John Robert Foster, Buddy Foster; two sisters, Dorothy Selby, Maxine Crisp; and a grandson, Aaron Morgan. Survivors include her three daughters, Sharolyn McMasters and husband Gerald of Lubbock, Patsy Hammit and husband Larry of Canyon, Becky Wiggs of Plainview; two sons, Jerry Morgan and wife Polly of Plainview, Gary Morgan and wife Tina of Plainview; 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Parlor Sunday School Class, c/o College Heights Baptist Church, 802 Quincy St., Plainview, Texas 79072.
