Lou Annie Luster (Plainview)

Lou Annie Luster, 90, of Plainview, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2015. She was the 9th of 10 children born to James and Carrie Boykin on July 25, 1924 in Raleigh, Mississippi. She graduated from high school in 1942 and worked for the General Electric Plant in Jackson, Mississippi. She married Gilbert Lewis Luster on July 16, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. They moved to Plainview, Texas in August of 1951. Lou was a Charter member of the Trinity Methodist Church, Melody Sunday School Class, and on the Administrative Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 9 sibilings. Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Johnson & Joe Ruffatto, Sondria Gregg & Joe; grandchildren, Jerame Johnson & Shelly, Justin Shaw & MJ, Jared Johnson & Holly, Stephanie Shaw; great grandchildren, Lillian Grace Shaw, and Baylee Ann Johnson. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Cremation and burial arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
