Robert D. “Rob” Heflin, 78, of Plainview passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Kornerstone Chapel with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. A visitation will be held starting at 1:00 P.M. until service time. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rob was born on July 21, 1936 in Pickton, Texas to J.B. “Jack” and Era Mae Heflin. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1954. He worked for the Plainview Grain Exchange for 10 years. He has been Farming and Ranching in Floyd County for the last 45 years. He retired and moved back to Plainview. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, the Pastor’s Class, served on the Floydada Hospital District Board, and the Producers CO-OP Elevator Board. Rob was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Jones Heflin in 2000; parents, and a sister, Burnis Eiland. He married Edna Hatch on November 14, 2002. Survivors include his wife Edna Heflin of Plainview; one son, Rick Heflin and wife Brenda of Floyd County; two daughters, Shawnda Greer and husband Bart of Lubbock, LaDonna Stark of Lubbock; three grandsons, Ty Heflin, Tate Greer, Blake Greer; three granddaughters, Whitney Ellison, Reagan Heflin, Lacey Hegi; two brothers, Thomas Heflin of Plainview, Louis Heflin and wife Patty of Alba; two sisters, Reta Martin and husband Joe of Plainview, Kay Conder and husband Johnny of Abilene; and extended family; David Cochran of Plainview, Carol Seago of Little Rock, AR, Keaton Williams, Colton Seago, Landon Cochran, Haley Cochran; and a special sister-in-law, Edith Sims of Plainview. The family would also like to thank Gloria Alston and Interim Hospice for their care and support in the last few months.
