Trevil Ethel Atkins (Plainview)

Trevil Ethel Atkins, 94, of Houston. “Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest”, is the invitation our sweet mother and grandmother accepted from the Lord Sunday evening, December 14, 2008. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel, with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Trevil was born on November 19, 1914, in McGregor, Texas, and has been a Houston resident since 1970. Having lived alone until 2 months before her 94th birthday, Trevil Ethel Atkins entered eternal rest after a 2 month illness with heart disease. She is survived by her three sons, Jerry and wife Linda, Gary and wife Lynda, and David and wife Donna. Grandchildren: James Atkins and wife Rachel, Nikki Hartung and husband Bob, Michael Atkins, Michelle Pastorek and husband Nick, Alicia Flora and husband Chuck, Kevin Atkins, and 7 great grandchildren. Trevil was preceded in death by her husband J.D. and son Bobby Gene.
