Kornerstone Funeral Directors 3605 S.W. 3rd Plainview, Texas 79072 Office: 806-296-0055 Fax: 806-296-0004 Almeta Lovell, 85, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Almeta was born on February 15, 1930 in Chico, Texas to C.C. and Nora Alvis. She grew up and attended schools in Chico. She married Wayne Lovell on October 6, 1946 in Plainview. She was primarily a homemaker but did work for the Mother’s Day Out program at the First United Methodist Church for many years. She was a Baptist. She loved crossword puzzles, gardening, and cooking. She always put others before herself. Almeta was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Dennis Ray Lovell; two sisters, Viola Pearce, Gladys Ashby; and one brother, W.C. Alvis. She is survived by her three sons, Tommy Wayne Lovell and wife Rebecca of Lubbock, Michael Don Lovell and wife Rose of Terrell, Keith Dale Lovell and wife Carmen of Plainview; four grandchildren, Tessa Erwin and husband Barry of Round Rock, Jennifer Lovell of Plainview, BamBam Carmichael of Lubbock, Pebbles Galvan of Dallas; four great grandchildren, BrayLeigh Homer, Kameron Anderson, Heaven Galvan, Yandel Galvan; and two sisters, Vera Williams and Jean Wells.
