Luz Lucy Sanchez (Plainview)

Luz “Lucy” Sanchez, 82, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sanchez was born on May 26, 1932 in Castroville, Texas to Pablo, Sr. & Leonor Nuncio. She married Jose Pedro Paiz in May of 1952 in Michagan. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1978. She married Jesus G. Sanchez on August 13, 1982. She worked as a nurses aide in Plainview for 28 years. She was a Den Mother, a Guadalupana and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband: Jesus G. Sanchez; one daughter: Anita Gonzales of Lockney; one son: Jose Ramon Paiz of Slaton; two brothers: Victor Nuncio of Denton and Tony Nuncio of Sherman; seven sisters: Isabel C. Villareal of Hale Center, Mary Lina Mitchell of Sherman, Lupe Gonzales of Sherman, Anna Enriquez of Sherman, Theresa Nuncio of Fort Worth, Rosana Picazo of Sanger and Samantha Nuncio of Sherman; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces & nephews.
