Glynel Stormy Summers, 65, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at her residence. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Max Browning officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Stormy was born on January 21, 1943 in Wellington. She grew up there and attended schools there. She was a self-employed bookkeeper and later a hair stylist for many years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Plainview. She married Charles B. Cypert and he preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey David Clay and two other husbands, Bill Cooke and Joe Belier. Survivors include her mother, Margaret Savage of Plainview; sister, Marsha Hughs of Wellington; a step-son, John Belier and wife Rita of Denver, Colorado; two nephews, Matthew Hughs of Sherman, Texas, Marcus Hughs of Amarillo; cousin, Tom Cleveland of Whitesboro, Texas; and an aunt, Bernice Elbert of Lake Kiowa, Texas. The family suggests memorials to be made to American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
