Allene Stone (Plainview)

Allene Stone, 82, of Plainview, passed away on April 28, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jack Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the funeral home. Mirriam Allene was born on October 17, 1932 to Archie and Pashia Jones in Lubbock, TX. She grew up in Plainview and attended schools here. She was a homemaker. She married Clyde Stone on March 1, 1963 in Plainview. Allene was a member of Colonial Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and GA’s. She was every ones prayer warrior. She helped with PTA and enjoyed sewing, singing and loved Bible studies. She is preceded in death by one son, Bobby Stone; two sisters, Leatha Lea Brister and Opal Lee Day; and one granddaughter, Misti Lynn Stone. She is survived by her husband, Clyde; two daughters, Glenda Watson and Misty Batista both of Plainview, TX; one brother, Buck Allen Jones of Lubbock, TX; one sister, Artie Louise Bramblett of Lewisville, TX; five grandchildren, three grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
