Sally Goff (Plainview)

Sally “Paco” North Goff, 72, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 5, 2009, at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be from 4-6 P.M., Sunday, January 4, 2009, at the funeral home. Sally was born on June 30, 1936 in Decatur, Texas. She moved to Plainview in 1948. She worked at College Hill Daycare for 12 years before keeping children at her home for another 10 years. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church where she also worked in the Nursery for many years. She married Arnold Goff in 1963. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Faye Roberson, and a daughter, Evelyn Joyce Goff; and her father, L Roy Simpkins and mother Ruby Simpkins. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Joslin Williams of Plainview, Jamie Joslin Holland of Enterprise, Alabama, Valerie Goff Mansell of Plainview; one brother, Lester North of Amarillo; one sister, Lola Thompson of Dumas; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
