Ruben Villarreal, 67, of Hale Center passed away on May 23, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Hale Center with Father John Smith officiating and Monsignor Ben Kasteel assisting. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Kornerstone Funeral Chapel. Ruben was born on October 27, 1947 in Mexico to Casimiro Villarreal and Maria De Jesus Contreras. He married Isabel Nuncio on April 30, 1982 in Plainview. He was preceded in death by his parents and two step-children, Daniel Castillo and Martha Castillo. Ruben is survived by his wife Isabel M. Villarreal; step-children, John G. Castillo of Killeen, Texas, Leonor Ellis of Sherman, Texas, Ruben Castillo of Hale Center, Texas, Diann Deleon of Hale Center, Texas; siblings, Jesus Jose Villarreal of Mexico, Rosario Villarreal of Mexico, Socorro Martinez of Greeley, Colorado, Casimiro Villarreal of Plainview, Texas, Angela Villarreal of Mexico, Maximiliano Villarreal of Mexico, Maria de Jesus of Mexico, Lola Villarreal of Mexico, Manuela Villarreal of Mexico, Juan Villarreal of Greeley, Colorado, Cresensio Villarreal of Greeley, Colorado, Maria Rodriguez of Asher, Oklahoma, Lupe Villarreal of Lubbock, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
