Patsy James (Plainview)

Patsy J. James, 74, of Plainview, passed away at 6:01 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Covenant Hospital of Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 11th and Amarillo Church of Christ with Dee Teel and J Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. James was born on June 15, 1931 in Anton to Jeff and Elva Brazil. She married J. D. James on September 24, 1949 in Anton. She gave birth to four sons. She worked at home, raised her family and helped on the family farm. Patsy was a devoted person. Her glory of life was to love, not to be loved, to give, not to get, to serve not to be served. Patsy always showed concern for others always with a friendly hello and a helping hand. She was a lover of hospitality and good deeds. She gave so many wedding showers and baby showers in her home for the young b rides and mother to be. She also went out of her way in her own special way to make a dish of food (a chocolate cake and took to so many different ones through out the years. Her pleasures shared were doubled. She loved life and touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, four sons and their wives, Troy and Carolyn James of Ft. Worth, Mark and Brenda James of Plainview, Jimmy and Mary James of Plainview, Ross and Tonya James of Tulia; a grandson she help raise Jason James; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; one sister Janet Motl of Albuquerque. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Don Brazil. A visitatgion will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. friday at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
