Tulia, Texas— Boyce Mahaney, 77, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Eben Emerson, pastor of Central Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Mr. Mahaney was born November 4, 1928 in Dawson County, Texas. He grew up in Lamesa and graduated from high school there. He then attended Decatur Junior College. He moved to Tulia in 1966. He worked for Swisher Electric for many, many years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. He married Jane Fisher on April 29, 1948. She passed away in 2002. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Dee Ann Mahaney of Tulia; two brothers, Johnny Mahaney of Lubbock and C.L. Mahaney of Farwell; a sister, Ernestine Duncan of Lubbock; two grandsons, Chris Mahaney and his wife Carla of Tulia, Cory Mahaney of Ft. Worth; and one great grandson, Kyler Mahaney of Tulia, Texas. Preceded in death by his wife, Jane Mahaney; a son, Ronnie Mahaney; and his parents, Ernest & Alice Mahaney. Memorials may be made to the Local Branch of the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
