Dr. Ricky Cross(Plainview)

Plainview, Texas- Dr. Ricky Cross, 58, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, June 15, 2015 in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Mr. Lanny Voss officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Ricky was born on June 4, 1957 in Lockney to Marion and Darla Cross. He attended Lockney Schools until the 6th grade when he moved to Plainview. He graduated from Plainview high School in 1975. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1979 and Baylor Dental School in 1984. He worked for Dr. Abercrombie before buying Dr. Baldwin’s practice in Plainview. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he played drums for several years. He also played in several bands including Zachariah’s Song and Texas in the Swing, where he played at Branson, MO for several years. Ricky is preceded in death by his mother: Darla Cross and his sister: Kellie Olson. He is survived by two daughters: Lyndsay Cross of Dallas and Morgan Castillo and husband Daniel of Wolfforth, his father: Marion Cross of Plainview, two brothers: Patrick Cross of California and Curtis Cross of Arizona. The family will be at the home of Betty Morton, 411 Mesa Circle in Plainview.
