Damian Cisneros, Jr.(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Damian Cisneros, Jr., 22, of Happy, died Monday, January 26, 2009. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Fernando Rugo, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held at 6:00pm Friday, January 30, 2009 at the funeral home chapel. Damian was born July 15, 1986 in Tulia where he grew up. He graduated from Canyon High School in 2004 and joined the US Marine Corps. He served until January 10, 2009. He served two tours in Iraq. He married Zahira Joven on February 4, 2006. He is survived by his wife; Zahira Cisneros of Happy, one daughter; Zaitha Amelia Cisneros of Happy, his mother; Simona Martinez of Tulia, his grandparents; Bessie Martinez of Tulia, Manuel and Anna (Cisneros) Espinoza of Edinburg, three sisters; Ana Belle Cisneros of Victoria, Marrissa Belle Cisneros of California and Cindy Belle Cisneros of Tulia, four step-brothers; Lee Davilla, Jr., David Davilla, Anthony Tony Davilla and Julian Davilla, all of Plainview, his parents-in-law; Emilio Jose and Marta Beatrice Joven of Happy, three brothers-in-law; Emilio Joven, Jr., Alex Joven and Ali Joven, all of Happy and two sisters-in-law; Lena Joven and Maria Joven, both of Happy, his aunts and uncles; Sally and Hector Garza of Avon Park, Florida, Daniel and Becky Martinez of Tulia, Sandy Martinez of Tulia, Anna O. Garcia of San Antonio, Sally and Jaime Garcia of Tulia, Manuel Espinoza of Tulia, Abram Espinoza of Edinburg and Leticia Garcia of Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by one sister; Christy Belle Cisneros and his grandfather; Simon Martinez.
