Tulia, Texas—David Schott, 41, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 in Tulia. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the Silverton Cemetery in Silverton, Texas under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. David was born February 22, 1967 in Tulia. He grew up in Silverton and graduated from Silverton High School. He attended college for one year and then joined the US Marines. He served in the Gulf War. He married Kristi Waters on July 1, 2002. He had worked as a truck driver for Plains Transportation in Amarillo. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Silverton. Survivors include his wife; Kristi Schott of Tulia, his parents; John and LaQuetta Schott of Silverton, two brothers; Bryan Schott of Silverton and Clay Schott of Canyon, two step-sons; Teal Bennett of Vega and Tate Bennett of Hereford and his granddaughter; Sage Bennett of Vega and his grandson Flynt Bennett of Vega. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; W.E. and Rena Schott and Pete and Pauline Chitty.
