Norma W. Luette (Plainview)

Norma W. Luette, 97, of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Abilene. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Garland Street Church of Christ with Mr. Russell Harris Minister of Wills Point Church of Christ officiating. A private family burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas, TX under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Norma was born March 18, 1918 to John & Macgary Posey in Oklahoma City, OK. She married Newton Merrill Gober. He preceded her in death. She later married Herman J. Luette, Sr who also preceded her in death. She was friendly, outgoing and optimistic. She loved the Lord and spent most of her time at church functions loving and serving God’s people. She was a member at Garland Street Church of Christ. After moving to Abilene she became a member at Hillcrest Church of Christ. Norma was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jack Posey. She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Tunnell & husband Graddy of Plainview, TX, Glynda Mills of Ashland, Kansas, and Merrilyn Kay Powell & husband Robert of Colleyville, TX; two stepsons, Herman J. Luette, Jr.& wife Irene of Devine, TX, and Paul Luette of Henderson, NV; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Garland Street Church of Christ or a favorite charity of your choice.
