Tulia, Texas—Warren Lee Bell, 79, passed away on August 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Tulia with Rev. Karan Young officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Warren was born December 12, 1935 in Tulia to Edgar and Velma Bell. He graduated from Tulia High School in 1955. He married Valeria Joyce Hall in December 1956. He worked for his brother-in-law, Jack Montague and in 1958 moved to the family farm east of Tulia where he grew up. They later purchased the home place from his parents and made their home there. He was a third generation farmer. He loved flying, earned his license under the tutelage of Kirk Hulsey, and in the late 1960’s, his hobby turned into a business when he and a friend, James Montandon, started M&B Spraying Service. After twenty-one years of crop dusting, he closed the spaying service in 1990. Warren spent many hours in the shop he built himself. Restoring antique cars and woodworking were hobbies he enjoyed. He lathed hundreds of pens, turned vases, bells, and bird houses; his favorite wood was mesquite. The computer world fascinated him where he restored and printed countless pictures and burned thousands of DVDs. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Swisher County Museum, P.O. Box 445, Tulia, Texas 79088 or to the First United Methodist Church, P.O.
