Evelyn Scott (Plainview)

Evelyn Scott, 79, of Plainview passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 16, 2009 in the Plainview Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Martin of Parkview Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. She was born on April 14, 1929 in Grayson County to N.W. and Eudell Rannals. She attended Chicota Schools. She was a Nurse’s Aide for many years. She married Richard Scott on December 30, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents: two sons, Ronnie Scott, Gary Scott; three sisters, Jewell Griffith, Dell Annett, and Frances McCulloch. Survivors include her husband, Richard Scott of Plainview; grandson, Cody Scott of Amarillo; granddaughter, Stefanie Harris of Amarillo; two sisters, Ione Holder of Odessa, Sue Coleman of Odessa. Memorials may be sent to Meals on Wheels, American Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
